Exploring Our Faith, Adult Education Forum [and ministry of The Fellowship of St. John the Divine] will meet September 18th at 7:15pm. This group meets in an effort to better understand and discover the rich spiritual, historical, doctrinal and scriptural tradition of our holy orthodox faith. Fr. Isaac facilitates our meetings in an informal setting using brief presentations as a springboard to open discussion evoking questions and reflections on a wide range of topics of our faith. CHARITY COLLECTION SUNDAY | Sunday August 31st
This month we are supporting those less fortunate in our own local community, the Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter. Located in Falls Church, Fairfax County, Virginia, Volunteers of America Chesapeake's Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter is a 50-bed, emergency homeless shelter for adult men and women. The average stay at the shelter is 90 days and may include medical care, mental health services, substance abuse counseling, education and training for homeless individuals. As the community's primary emergency homeless shelter since 1994, the center also provides a Drop In program 7 days a week. This program offers homeless individuals the opportunity to bathe, receive a nutritious meal and wash their clothes.
The collection will be taken on Sunday, August 31. Please be generous in your support for this worthy cause.

Young men and women, come, learn and perpetuate the tradition! Join Saints Peter and Paul Cooking Classes 4 days in July and August.
Even if you cannot attend both sessions, attend one! Come to the Saturday sessions if you cannot make the weekday sessions. Come, teach, or watch and learn all the steps and practice cooking for your family—impress them with your culinary skills! Ss. Peter & Paul’s fifteenth Golf Tournament is held at the Bretton Woods Golf Course, 15700 River Rd, Germantown, MD on Wednesday, June 25th, to celebrate the life of Abe Brown. Registration is $135 per Individual Golfer; Students are $100 (single golfers assigned to a foursome). SAVE money and recruit a Foursome for $500 which includes: 18 holes of golf with cart, Range balls, Continental Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, Beer, Gifts, Prizes, and an additional Round of Golf to be played at a later date. VISIT OF METROPOLITAN SILOUAN TO SS. PETER & PAUL CHURCH | May 4th
His Eminence Metropolitan SILOUAN of Argentina, the Patriarchal Vicar – Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America — will be visiting our parish on Sunday, May 4th. All the faithful are encouraged to attend Divine Liturgy at 10:30am followed by a luncheon in Met. SILOUAN’s honor. He has been given the task of overseeing the election of our new Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of North America. It is a great blessing and honor that Met. Exploring Our Faith, Adult Education Forum [and ministry of The Fellowship of St. John the Divine] will resume meeting every other week on Tuesday May 6th from 7:15—8:15pm in the Lower Level Conference Room. This group meets in an effort to better understand and discover the rich spiritual, historical, doctrinal and scriptural tradition of our holy orthodox faith. Fr. Isaac facilitates our meetings in an informal setting using brief presentations as a springboard to open discussion evoking questions and reflections on a wide range of topics of our faith. His Eminence Metropolitan SILOUAN of Argentina, the Patriarchal Vicar – Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America — will be visiting our parish on Sunday, May 4th. All the faithful are encouraged to attend Divine Liturgy at 10:30am followed by a luncheon in Met. SILOUAN’s honor. He has been given the task of overseeing the election of our new Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of North America. It is a great blessing and honor that Met. Teens are encouraged to attend Lazarus Saturday morning Liturgy (10am-12pm). High school students, consider this opportunity to get closer to God and each other.
